Master Plan Delhi 2021- Residential Solutions at Affordable Rates for the Residents of Delhi
Delhi’s population is increasing in leaps and bounds every day and it is being estimated that the population of Delhi will reach around 8 million by the year 2021. Considering the ever-increasing population of Delhi and the problems it would have people facing, the Delhi Development Authority or the DDA has chucked out the Master Plan Delhi 2021. This plan has been developed with the objective of safeguarding Delhi’s future. MPD 2021 has been developed with the purpose of serving the objective of doing away with the problems that might arise because of the massive increase that is taking place in the population of Delhi. The Delhi Development Authority has brought about the MPD 2021 in such a way that it leaves not a single stone unturned in meeting the needs of the growing population of Delhi.
The Main Objective Served by Land Pooling Policy
The Delhi Development Authority has introduced the Land Pooling Policy which allows developers to obtain land directly from the farmers and the owners through partnership and not through any kind of forceful procedures. As per the Land Pooling Policy, the small land holdings in Delhi shall be pooled together. Part of this pooled land shall be used for the development of Delhi Affordable Housing. Part of this pooled land shall also be used for developing physical and social infrastructure. Post this; the land that is left shall be allotted back to the owners who can use it for purposes they wish. The Government of Delhi has introduced Delhi Housing Scheme aimed towards providing homes to the ever-increasing population of Delhi and that too within affordable rates.
